I I teach 6th grade science, Maker Studio elective, & K-5 science. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and work cooperatively to learn and solve problems.

    Teaching Mission & Vision

I love teaching!  I can’t imagine spending my days in any other way.  It is my goal to inspire a lifelong curiosity of science and the natural world in my students.  I view my role in the classroom is that of a facilitator to help guide my students in their educational journey.  I want to provide, not only academic content, but also skills to help them become creative and productive adults who can work both independently and collaboratively.

I am a lifelong learner and continue improving as an educator in hopes of creating a classroom where my students will thrive.  I know that I learn best when given hands-on opportunities that connect with real-life situations.  In my classroom, I strive to provide meaningful and motivational experiences for each student.
