Teaching Mission & Vision
My mission as a teacher is to promote a creative and challenging environment where students have an opportunity to become critical thinkers and cooperative learners. By being compassionate and fair, I will instill in them the belief that they can achieve anything if they put their minds to it. I will treat my students as individuals and encourage each of them to reach their highest potential.
By creating a classroom that is positive and safe, I will empower my students to become active learners and develop skills they can use their whole lives. Every student is unique and special, and together we can foster an environment for personal growth in 5th grade.

Teaching Mission & Vision
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a safe, loving, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which to grow and develop intellectually, socially, and emotionally. It is my desire as an educator to provide students with the ability to be the best self they can be and to achieve their fullest potential in each of these areas by offering a learning atmosphere that supports risk-taking, cultivates creativity, invites idea sharing, and celebrates differences. I believe these four areas are conducive to establishing a cohesive classroom of learners where the teacher is serving as director in their educational journey, the student’s curiosity is directing their natural learning tendencies, and all children are respected and valued.
Teaching affords the opportunity for continual growth and learning. Even as an educator, I believe, I can still learn from my students. It is my hope as a teacher that I can instill my love of learning in my students, as they understand that even as we grow and develop, we can all still learn from each other. In this technological, virtual, competitive world, it is important that children have someone who is invested in their success, someone is compassionate about their problems, and someone who is dedicated to their progress. I believe I am this person and I will strive every day to be the best educator I am capable of being.
