S.T.E.A.M. is an initiative championed by the Rhode Island School of Design that has been adopted by education leaders and advocates across the country.
The S.T.E.A.M. program consists of thematic units and hands-on projects incorporating art and design to explain science and math concepts.

Expo demonstrating each students understanding and hard work throughout the year.
    Elementary STEAM

Students will be working within the classroom with their primary teacher, fellow students and Middle School Support teachers Mrs. Buck and Mrs. Priest. Students will be completing and showcasing their projects at the S.T.E.A.M. Expo.
Students will be completing cross-curricular projects to using art and design to explain new science and math concepts in a more manageable and intuitive way. The creativity required by this integration leads to more work, but is well worth it.
