Summer Library
Importance of Summer Reading
Every fall, the first six weeks after the students are back in school, teachers spend the time making up for summer reading loss. As a parent you can help this transition to a new grade by having your child read over the summer. Summer reading helps students retain the knowledge and skills they have learned the previous year.
Some suggestions are to create a summer reading challenge for your child, read to your child, visit a library, read different types of books and most of all read for fun!
