At SPU Middle School, we are committed to fostering a dynamic and supportive environment where students grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Our school serves as a nurturing space for young learners, guiding them through the critical middle school years with a focus on academic excellence, character development, and personal growth.
Academic Excellence
Our curriculum is designed to challenge and inspire students in all subjects, including language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and the arts. We believe in getting back to basics: critical-thinking, problem-solving, and notetaking. Our dedicated educators work closely with each student to ensure they build a strong academic foundation while developing a love for learning.
A Holistic Approach to Growth
We understand that middle school is a time of transition, and we support our students in navigating these challenges with confidence. Our school emphasizes social-emotional learning, teamwork, leadership, and responsibility. We offer a variety of extracurricular activities; including sports, choir, Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA), and clubs, to allow students to explore their interests and talents outside of the classroom.

Associated Student Body (ASB) is a student leadership organization. ASB plans school events, raises money for charities, and supports activities at San Pasqual Union.
SPU Saintsational Choir is open to 6th-8th grade students. Choir rehearsals are once a week with trimester performances throughout the year. For more information, click above.
SPU Athletics helps to build school spirit and the well being of the entire student body. In Middle School, students have the opportunity to join boys, girls interscholastic sports teams, and compete against other schools.
VAPA
(Visual & Performance Arts)
SPU Performing Arts/Music Program will provide equal access to quality standards-based music instruction to students in grades TK-8. Dance, theater and visual arts will be used to provide connections and enrich the program.
