San Pasqual Union Food & Nutrition Services

  • Our school takes pride in our Nutrition Services. We continue to meet all federal nutrition standards in compliance with the N.S.L.P. Program under the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids act.  We ensure that meals are healthy and well-balanced and provide students all the nutrition they need to succeed at school.  Now is a great time to encourage your kids to choose a school lunch!

Our student meals offer non-fat or 1% milk, fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins and grains, and every meal must meet strict limits on saturated fat and portion size.  Our meals also have additional standards requiring:

    • Age-appropriate calorie limits
    • Larger servings of vegetables and fruits (students must select at least ½ cup of the fruits or vegetables, or a combination )
    • A wider variety of vegetables, including dark green and red/orange vegetables and legumes
    • Less sodium
